Blue Planet Family Spa: An entire standalone water world for kids, with a 40-meter tube slide, baby pool, and dress-on family sauna, completely separate from the adults-only Sky Lounge upstairs
South Tyrol Guest Pass included: Free cable cars, all public transport, and museum entry across the whole region come bundled with every stay, turning the Ahrntal Valley and beyond into one giant family day trip
1,000 m2 Sky Garden: A brand new rooftop relaxation garden with panoramic cabins, Swiss pine teepees, and 360-degree mountain views, unlike any outdoor wellness space at a family resort in the Alps
Ski-to-door with Klausi Land: The Klausberg cable car sits directly opposite the hotel, with a free ski bus every 20 minutes, a dedicated kids' ski world with magic carpets and snow fun park, and over 40 ski school instructors
The Amonti & Lunaris is something you don't see often: two five-star family hotels sitting side by side in South Tyrol's Ahrntal Valley, connected by an underground tunnel so that guests of either property share everything. Run by the Steger family since the 1960s, this mountain resort occupies a prime position at 1,054 meters, directly opposite the Klausberg cable car and the Rieserferner-Ahrn Nature Park, with 80-plus mountain huts reachable on foot. The architecture makes the most of its alpine setting through floor-to-ceiling glass, regional wood, and natural stone, while a 6,000-square-meter spa complex forms the heart of the property. Families have real room to spread out here: dedicated family suites come with separate children's bedrooms, the two-bedroom Alpina Suite (100 square meters) includes its own private sauna and freestanding whirlpool, and the Penthouse Suite ups the ante with a rooftop terrace, private whirlpool, and Finnish sauna overlooking the valley. A new 1,000-square-meter Sky Garden on the rooftop features panoramic cabins and Swiss pine teepees for open-air relaxation with a 360-degree mountain view.
What sets the Amonti & Lunaris apart as an all-inclusive family resort in Italy is how deliberately it separates the kids' world from the parents' world, then lets both run at full volume without stepping on each other. The Blue Planet Family Spa is a standalone water world with a 40-meter tube slide, baby pool, dress-on family sauna, and cozy nooks for downtime, while upstairs the adults-only Panorama Sky Lounge offers a sky pool, panoramic sauna, and the rooftop Sky Bar for parents who need their own space. The year-round Kids Club takes children from age 2, staffed by trained educators Sunday through Friday, and the Junior Club keeps older kids occupied with a bouldering wall, table football, and an interactive T-Wall. Everything from meals to the South Tyrol Guest Pass (free cable cars, all public transport, and museum entry across the entire region) is bundled into the nightly rate. The Lunaris 1964 restaurant serves a 12-course gourmet tasting menu for date-night dinners, and back in the family wing, the HIPP Baby Buffet and dedicated children's buffet mean even mealtimes are sorted for parents traveling with babies and toddlers.
